Grammar is one of the most misspelt words on the internet. This happens because the word grammar is pronounced as if it were spelt grammer. So people continue to write “grammer” even after being told a dozen times that it is actually “grammar.” As a result, they get low marks for “attention to detail”!
A similar thing happens with words like tutor, censor, sponsor, mediator, auditor etc. - none of which have an -er ending, but which are pronounced as if they had an -er ending.
